PMS is a system of scheduled maintenance of marine equipment, approved by the institutions of the classification, including operation and maintenance of machinery and repair, as well as checks the condition and progress of the operation, carried out technical maintenance and repairs made.

Ship’s maintenance scheduling options should have a simple, flexible set up, allowing each asset to have a clearly defined maintenance profile. This may include details of various scheduled periods, trades required, PMS procedures required, estimated job times and when the equipment is available for maintenance. It must also be possible to link assets to the preventive maintenance procedure library.
