On-board our vessels

Dohle Marine Services Europe Sp. z o.o. as a Recruitment Agency provide services for employment of seafarers on board ships, in accordance with national regulations and international conventions. Our agency holds a Certificate of compliance with Maritme Labour Convention (MLC 2006). The Agency does not provide hiring of minors, and for job placement services there are no charges.

Between the Agency and the seafarer, a Work Agency Agreement is concluded. The agreement sets out the respective rights and obligations of both parties and in particular, underlines the responsibility of the agency in helping seafarer to resolve disputes arising from the employment relationship on board the vessel.

The Seafarer has the right to complain to the owner, agent, or ship-manager.

The procedure for placing a complaint by Seafarer.

1. Complaints about Ship, Ship Owner and Ship Manager.

  • The SEAFARER shall file a complaint in writing with the Crew Operator who cooperates with the SEAFARER.
  • The Crew Operator shall send to the relevant Ship Owner or Ship Manager a message informing about the complaint filed and the Crew Operator shall also report about the complaint to the Head or President of the Employment Agency.
  • All complaints will be entered into the Complaint Register.
  • Complaints shall be handled and answered within 14 working days of receiving the complaint.
  • In case of an unsatisfactory response, the SEAFARER shall have the right to appeal to the State Marine Administration

2. Complaints about the activity of the AGENCY.

  • Complaints about the Reception shall be filed with the Head or the President and they shall be handled within 7 working days.
  • Complaints about the Recruitment Department shall be filed with the Head or the President and they shall be handled within 14 working days.
  • Complaints about Crew Operators shall be filed with the President and they shall be handled within 14 working days.
  • All complaints will be entered into the Complaint Register.
  • In case of an unsatisfactory response, the SEAFARER shall have the right to appeal to the State Administration (Gdynia Maritime Office):
